Our Mission 

Living Mythologies makes original music in languages and musical combinations rarely heard together. We're a progressive fusion collective bringing together musicians who have spent years moving between different languages, instruments, and musical traditions. Those journeys were already part of their music long before the ensemble began. Now they're part of something larger.
 

Language is at the heart of our music. We write original songs in different languages, sometimes moving between several within the same song. Each language brings its own rhythms, sounds, and poetry, shaping the lyrics and melodies from the start. These aren't simply songs translated into other languages. They're written in those languages, with all the musical possibilities that come with them.
 

Folklore runs through our music. Ancient myths, legends, poetry, and music passed down over centuries feed into what we write today. Sometimes we pick up where an old tale left off; other times, we invent new myths and legends of our own. Folklore doesn't end with the people who first told it. There is always more to add.
 

These songs are building the Living Mythologies Universe, a growing world of original music, characters, mythology, and visual art. Some works continue older narratives, while others introduce entirely new ones. Music videos, artwork, and live performances take these creations beyond the recordings, with connections developing between releases as the universe grows.
 

Behind it all is a belief in active concord and rapprochement. Languages, music, and folklore have crossed borders, changed hands, and reinvented themselves for centuries. That movement never stopped. Our musicians carry it forward through their own work, creating music without requiring agreement, assimilation, or a common identity. Concord, for us, isn't a distant ideal of peace. It's something we put into practice whenever we make music together.​​​​
